A Letter From Pastor Jon
on Our Temporary Closure
and Live Broadcast

Dear Church Family,

We as a church leadership team have chosen to suspend Sunday Worship services  as well as Wednesday Night activities until further notice.

We have not taken this decision lightly, and after much prayer and consideration we have decided to make the choice for the following reasons:

1)     We have not made the decision out of panic but rather out of precaution.  We believe this is the best decision for the church to move forward considering the current environment.  We believe we can continue to move forward with the mission of being a Gospel-centered and community-focused church over the next two weeks by being flexible.

 2)     We believe we needed to make this decision in a spirit of cooperation with the community around us.  The following developments helped lead to our decision:

a.      The Governor’s social distancing madate.

b.      The closing of all Pennsylvania public schools.

We believe it was in everyone’s best interests to join in the effort to help slow the spread of the COVID-19 virus.

As you have heard me say before, it is my desire for Brookfield to be a church that gets outside the church walls.   Well, that is exactly what we are going to do over the next two weeks.   Let’s make a concerted effort as a church family that If we see a need, we meet the need, and be the Gospel to those around us.

In addition to having a renewed focus on our community, Brookfield’s audio-visual team has been working over the last several months to bring Live Stream capabilities to our church.  Though we were hoping to have a couple more weeks to “test things out,” the AV team is ready to make this a reality this Sunday.

On Sundays at 10:30 AM, you’ll be able to watch Brookfield’s service live on YouTube. Just CLICK HERE to be taken to our YouTube channel at service time, and click the video box that says “LIVE” on it.

You can also get to the live broadcast by searching “Brookfield Bible Church” in the YouTube search bar.  It is my hope and desire that we as a church family continue to worship together by praying together, studying God’s Word together, and growing in intimacy with Christ together.

Brookfield is not a building, but rather a movement of people, and though we may not be gathering in our building this Sunday, we will be together in Spirit and anticipating what God is going to do in each of our lives over the coming weeks.

I look forward to seeing you on Sunday (albeit through a camera lens), as we continue our mission to Connect, Grow, and Serve.

As far as Small Groups are concerned, we as a church have not cancelled our Small Group gatherings and will leave that decision up to each individual small group.

Finally, the church office will be open next week with our regular hours of operation which are Tuesday to Friday from 8:00am to 4:00pm.  Please let us know if there is anything we can do for you.

Continue using common sense and relying on Jesus.
