“Life is not meant to be lived alone; God created you to live life together with Him and others.”

— Rick Ferrari, Next Steps Pastor

God created us to both give and receive. That’s why Small Groups is central to the life of the church here at Brookfield. A Small Group is a group of three or more people who gather weekly to study the Bible and share life together — usually in the more intimate setting of a home.

How can I get involved?

There are two ways to get involved with small groups — by hosting or joining one.

We invite anyone who considers Brookfield to be “their church” to consider becoming a host. Being a host is easy — don’t be intimidated! We will provide you with all the resources you need; being a biblical scholar isn’t necessary! All that is needed is for you to meet the criteria for being a host.

What makes you a good candidate to be a host? A host has….

Heart for people. You need to enjoy being around, sharing, and serving with other folks.

Open Space. You’ll need to provide a space for your group to meet. Most times this is in a more intimate setting like your home.

Supply a snack. It doesn’t have to be expensive or fancy — just something simple like cookies or coffee.

Two friends. A small group consists of at least three people that want to engage in discipleship and authentic relationships with one another.
